The GPS of Learning™
Enhanced the AI-powered longitudinal assessment platform used by medical boards—delivering responsive React components, state machine improvements, and a full JavaScript-to-TypeScript migration for long-term stability.
Our team contributed to the Selfstudy nx-workspace application using React, TypeScript, NextJS, NodeJS, Storybook, Jest, Cypress, and XState. We focused on frontend development, UI/UX improvements, and application maintenance. Key efforts included developing and maintaining React components, translating UI/UX design wireframes into functional code, and utilizing Storybook for component implementation and documentation. We enhanced user experience by styling components with TailwindCSS and implementing responsive designs that adapted seamlessly across devices. We addressed core application logic through state machine modifications using XState and ensured code quality through comprehensive unit testing with Jest and React Testing Library. Additional improvements included refactoring JavaScript code to TypeScript for better type safety and maintainability, along with ongoing bug fixing and general application maintenance to keep the platform running smoothly.
