AIR Index™ Assessement
A structured, scored assessment of data, team, process, and technology readiness — paired with a 12-month roadmap to AI implementation.
Each factor helps your busienss understand:
How defined and repeatable your processes are
How well it delivers measurable results
How connected your data and technology are
How ready you are to evolve and scale

AIR Index™
The AIR Index™ evaluates AI readiness across four pillars: Data Infrastructure, Team Capability, Process Maturity, and AI Toolchain & Stack. The findings inform your 12-month roadmap to bring process and team capacity in line with business goals.
Four Dimensions of Assessment
Every AIR engagement evaluates an organization across four interconnected dimensions. Each is scored independently, then combined into a composite readiness score used to determine the recommended engagement tier.
Expert guidance to evaluate software solutions, compare build vs. buy options, and optimize your development processes through strategic analysis and recommendations.

01 Data Infrastructure
We assess the quality, accessibility, and governance of your data — the fuel that powers everyAI system. This includes data pipelines, storage architecture, labeling readiness, andcompliance posture. Poor data infrastructure is the most common reason AI initiatives stallafter launch, regardless of model quality or engineering talent
02 Team Capability
We assess the quality, accessibility, and governance of your data — the fuel that powers everyAI system. This includes data pipelines, storage architecture, labeling readiness, andcompliance posture. Poor data infrastructure is the most common reason AI initiatives stallafter launch, regardless of model quality or engineering talent

03 Process Maturity
We map your existing workflows to identify where AI creates the most leverage — automatingmanual steps, accelerating decisions, or surfacing intelligence from unstructured data. Wealso assess your organization’s change management readiness. AI adoption fails most oftennot from technical shortcomings, but from organizational resistance and undefinedownership.
04 AI Toolchain & Stack Audit
Our certified cloud and AI consultants evaluate your current tech stack for AI-compatibility —cloud infrastructure, API integrations, model deployment readiness, observability, and securityposture. This dimension connects directly to the Stack Modernization & Vulnerability Assessment, the complementary Phase 1 engagement in The Factory Method™.

Scoring Tiers
Each of the four dimensions is scored from 0 to 100. A composite score is calculated and mapped to one of three engagement tiers. The tier determines First Factory’s recommendednext step thus ensuring you receive a path forward calibrated to where you actually are.

This matters when we’re reviewing your datagovernance posture, your secrets management practices, or your API security configuration. You can trust that we approach those areas with the same rigor we apply to our ownoperations.
