Selection is a multi-stage process: technical screening, a skills assessment matched to your stack, an English fluency evaluation, behavioral interviews, and a background check. Finalists are presented to you. You make the hiring decision. We typically assemble a team within 2–6 weeks.
First Factory engineers are full-time employees, not contractors. They enjoy competitive benefits, mentorship, career development, and a culture built around collaborative excellence. Our eNPS is in the top 10% of companies globally, and our turnover is among the lowest in the industry. Happy engineers do better work and stay longer.
English fluency, both written and spoken, is a non-negotiable condition of employment at First Factory. Every engineer communicates directly with clients. We operate 1–2 hours behind Eastern Time and align to your working hours, so collaboration feels natural and synchronous.
We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on every new resource placed, whether it is your first or fifteenth resource. If you're not satisfied within the first month, you will not be billed for hours worked. We will work with you to find the right replacement.
There is no minimum contract length per resource. Our agreements require written notice when ramping down. We believe relationships built on trust shouldn't require lock-in clauses, and our 3+ year average client tenure reflects that.
We are actively involved. Your engagement includes direct access to the leadership team, including our VP of Client Experience and Engineering, and our COO and CEO. Regularly scheduled check-ins are standard for complex or high-priority projects.
We scale with you. Resources can be ramped up or down with appropriate notice. Our flexible model is designed to accommodate the natural ebb and flow of business. Many clients have been with us for five or more years precisely because of this adaptability.
All First Factory engineers sign NDAs and are covered under our Master Services Agreement. We are SOC 2 Type 2 certified, and all employees pass background checks and receive ongoing security training including phishing simulations. Engineers use company-managed laptops with Mobile Device Management (MDM, and all devices are wiped when transitioning between projects.
