Trust & Assurances
Every resource we place comes with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you're not satisfied within the first month, you won't be billed for the hours worked, no questions asked. This applies to every placement throughout the life of the engagement, not just at the start. You can always choose to replace the resource rather than ramp down.
We are SOC 2 Type 2 certified, and every employee signs NDA and Confidentiality agreements as a condition of employment. All staff undergo background checks, complete ongoing phishing training, and operate under Mobile Device Management (MDM) which allows us to remotely wipe devices if lost or stolen. Machines are also wiped when moving between projects so your IP is always protected.
Most bad outsourcing experiences trace back to communication gaps, time zone friction, or a team that doesn't invest in understanding your business. We're built to eliminate all three. Our engineers are fully fluent in English, work within 1–2 hours of Eastern Time, and are trained to understand your goals, not just complete tasks. Senior leadership stays accessible throughout every engagement.
No minimum contract length. Our standard agreement requires 60 days' written notice to ramp down a resource; that's the only offboarding commitment. We'd rather earn a long relationship than lock you into one. Many of our clients have been with us for five years or more, and most started with a single developer.
Our Team & Talent
Every hire goes through HR screening, role-appropriate technical interviews, and a mandatory background check. English fluency is a non-negotiable requirement. When assembling your team, we handpick resources based on both technical abilities and cultural fit. We're building an extension of your team, not filling seats.
Clients in financial services, healthcare, and enterprise tech consistently tell us our engineers perform at or above their onshore counterparts. Costa Rica has a deep pool of university-educated engineers, strong cultural alignment with the US, and a time zone that allows real-time collaboration. The value-to-quality ratio is why clients stay with us for years.
Yes , and we'll be honest with you about it. We have a strong bench of senior engineers and can staff accordingly. That said, the most effective and longest-tenured teams are usually blended: seniors leading architecture and complex decisions, and mid-level developers handling execution, for example. We'll recommend what makes the most sense for your project, deliverables, and budget.
Most teams can be assembled and ready in 2–6 weeks. For urgent needs, we can begin recruiting while contracts are being finalized to run both tracks in parallel. Beyond developers, we staff QA, UX/UI, DevOps, BAs, and Scrum Masters.
Technical Capabilities
Backend: .NET, Java, Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby on Rails. Front End: React, Angular, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Mobile: React Native, native iOS and Android. We also have deep expertise in DevOps, QA (manual and automated), UX/UI design, and AI/ML engineering, including generative, predictive, and conversational.
We are an AWS Certified Partner with deep expertise across compute, database, DevOps, and AI/ML services including Bedrock, Rekognition, and Transcribe. We also have significant experience on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. Whether your infrastructure lives on one platform or spans multiple clouds, we can work within it.
We are SOC 2 Type 2 certified. For regulated industries, we advise on and implement compliance requirements across AWS, Azure, and GCP. This includes security reviews and vulnerability testing. We've supported clients in financial services and healthcare with HIPAA and SOC requirements. Compliance needs should be surfaced during scoping so we configure the engagement accordingly.
Yes. This is work we do regularly. We can assess, stabilize, and refactor large or undocumented codebases while keeping your product running. If you're unsure where to start, a consulting engagement lets us evaluate the current state and build a prioritized plan before any full development commitment is made.
Process & Collaboration
No, and eliminating that burden is one of the most consistent things clients praise us for. Our engineers are trained to understand business context, ask the right questions, and flag risks before they become problems. We work with your tools, attend your ceremonies, and operate as a natural extension of your team rather than an outside party waiting for instructions.
As much or as little as you would like. For staff augmentation, we embed into your team and follow your existing processes so your involvement mirrors what you'd expect from any full-time hire. For scrum teams and fixed-price projects, we take on more project management ownership, running bi-weekly demos and weekly written updates so you stay informed without micromanaging.
Yes. Fixed-price engagements include clearly defined milestones and a guaranteed project price. Billing is generally structured in thirds: up front, at milestone completion, and after end-to-end testing. We run bi-weekly demos throughout so nothing is hidden behind a delivery date. UAT windows and post-release support are built into every fixed-price SOW.
Absolutely, and it's how many of our best long-term relationships began. We like it also because we get to spend the time early in the engagement understanding your culture, your business goals, and your tech stack. A single developer or small pilot is a legitimate way to evaluate the partnership before scaling. As your confidence grows, we can expand the team without disrupting what's already working. Some clients have grown from one placement to teams of ten or more over the course of the relationship.
