25 years of milestones
Founder and CEO Jason T. Roff didn't stumble into software; he grew up inside it. Coding since age ten, formally educated, and the author of six books on the craft, Jason was already years ahead of the industry's trends.
In the late 1990s, he was collaborating with 18 Ukrainian engineers at a time when distributed development teams were more concept than reality. That experiment sparked a vision that became a conviction. He founded First Factory in 2000 on the belief that great software is born where great people are given the space to create.

Jason T. Roff establishes First Factory in New York, inspired by Andy Warhol's creative studio model — a place for software engineers to do their best work.
Costa Rica Expansion
Office opens in Heredia with a founding team of four — chosen for its exceptional education system, STEM talent, and proximity to the United States.
