Our thirst for knowledge is never quenched, and it is this drive that ensures we deliver exceptional results, every time.
All of our Engineering Managers are required to give at least one tech talk per year, and we welcome any team member, at any experience level, to do the same. On average, we run 2-3 tech talks per month which are offered via Zoom. All sessions are recorded; the presentation, notes, and the recorded seminar are posted in our internal Learning Management System so everyone can benefit regardless of their schedule.
At First Factory, we want to support your professional development and witness your growth. Each employee is given an annual stipend that you can spend on any educational learning of your choice, no approval required. This includes certifications, Udemy courses, Coursera subscriptions, external event tickets (example: Geekle Summits), Pluralsight monthly subscriptions, English training courses, university tuition, books, and more.
First Factory has a long partnership with Idioma Internacional, which offers solutions and specialized support with their interactive Personalized English Workshops and communication study plans. In addition to basic and advanced English courses, we have co-created a three module Master Class on preparing for client interviews that can be taken live or asynchronously. The three modules cover, at a high level, The Art of Asking & Answering Questions, Active Listening & Effective Communication, and Working with Communication Styles. This mini-course is everything you need to share your experience clearly, concisely, and with confidence.

Technology changes frequently, assignments change regularly, and your interests will change, too. We do not lock you into any single software development track; rather, we allow you the opportunity to experience a breadth and depth of technologies that you are curious about. We take a supportive approach to helping you craft your career plan for the next six to twelve months, recommending training opportunities, professional practices, and other educational tools. We feel that if we can help you identify technologies that you are passionate about and blend that with what you are proficient in then you have a career path that will keep you motivated and satisfied, even if your interests change.
