This is largely about the hierarchy of the information being presented. Think of it as a visualization of the product's structure—or seeing where elements are placed in relation to each other and seeing how that organization of information aligns with user needs.
High-Fidelity Wireframes
High-fidelity wireframes bring the designs to life with color, font, imagery, and more. This phase not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also ensures that the design aligns with the brand identity. These designs should incorporate the business’s style guide and align with accessibility standards, making the application convey your company’s brand, voice, and tone while maximizing the usability of your product for the broadest audience possible.
Clickable Prototypes
Clickable prototypes allow users to interact with a simulation of the product. While these are only designs and do not interact with your database or third-party APIs, they mimic the behaviors of a finalized product by allowing users to click, scroll, and navigate through the designs to get a feel for how the application will behave. This helps designers and stakeholders identify potential issues and refine the user interface. Once these interactive designs are approved, developers will have a clear understanding of what they need to code.
Usability Testing
Key throughout the process is having a continuous feedback loop from the end-users, or proxies for the end-users, interacting with the product.
