Welcome to another installment of “The Factory Wall,” where we share news and updates about company growth, employee strengths, our technologies, and other news.
It was a challenging year for many in the technology industry. Numerous companies focused heavily on expense management which resulted in early-year lay-offs and budget cuts that shelved many projects. For First Factory, we focused on execution and ensuring that despite the cost, each team member was exceeding client expectations and adding more value than other resources. We are proud of the achievements we had this year, including furthering the maturity of our IT Security program, working on AI-integrated POC projects for clients, and helping more start-ups with product design and development. We made the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies for the fourth consecutive year, and our highest ranking to date.
The opportunities experienced in 2023 led to multiple new positions and promotions within the company. We have seen engineers promoted to Technical Leads, added designers and a Design Manager to the team, and added more to the client service function, including talent placement support.
Diverse Expertise
First Factory may have started 23 years ago as a .NET shop, but we have continued to expand the skillset we offer our clients. While .NET is still a major part of our stack, our team has ushered in expertise with new technologies. More than 93 percent of our 220+ person team are software development contributors, and more than 54% of our staff have been with us for more than 3 years. Our clients get experience, dedication, and consistency in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
