The WithLuv platform transcends the typical messaging application. It turns personalized digital messages into scheduled affirmations from friends and family. It then strategically delivers them over a period of weeks—or even months. Our development team meticulously crafted a comprehensive full-stack solution to bring this vision to fruition. We chose Next.js as the primary framework, establishing a powerful and flexible foundation for the application. Our team utilized shaden/UI for the front-end development, allowing for extensive component customization and ensuring a unique, tailored user interface. We incorporated a sophisticated backend architecture that combined REST endpoints and Server Actions, creating a robust and efficient system for managing complex message scheduling and user interactions. Supabase was carefully selected for secure and scalable authentication and database solutions to support the platform’s innovative features.

Our engineers integrated multiple external services to ensure seamless functionality and expand the platform’s capabilities. Twilio powered the messaging infrastructure, enabling sophisticated communication patterns. Stripe provided robust payment processing, while Reloadly supported gift card acquisition. These integrations transformed WithLuv from a mere concept into a comprehensive, feature-rich platform.

Our development methodology employed an iterative Agile approach. This allowed for continuous product refinement and close alignment with the client’s evolving vision. This flexible strategy enabled rapid prototyping and validation of core features. The most intricate technical challenge lay in developing personalized digital message scheduling system capable of creating natural, meaningful conversation patterns while adhering to complex constraints. We designed a dynamic scheduling algorithm that goes far beyond simple time-based message delivery: The system calculates optimal message intervals based on the overall campaign length, allowing for occasional spontaneous message clusters that mimic natural conversation. By implementing a rolling 7-day sender history, we prevented message clustering from the same sender while maintaining flexibility for smaller participant groups.

Our multi-layered conflict resolution strategy included sophisticated message reordering and constraint relaxation mechanisms to prevent scheduling deadlocks. The algorithm’s proportional message-stretching capability ensures that message spacing remains consistent, even when campaign requirements change. This approach preserves the natural rhythm of conversation while meeting the specific requirements of each unique campaign.

Leveraging GitHub Actions for continuous integration and Vercel for hosting, we established a deployment pipeline that ensures scalability and performance. This infrastructure provides the flexibility to accommodate future growth and potential expansion of the platform’s user base.

The platform’s inaugural test campaign was for a birthday celebration involving 58 personalized digital messages from 29 participants. It conclusively proved the concept’s viability. This initial deployment provided compelling evidence of the platform’s potential. It helped prove the model and attract investor interest, paving the way for future collaborations. Subsequent campaigns continue to validate the theory that people genuinely enjoy and appreciate new ways of sharing in each other’s life events. User feedback consistently shapes the product roadmap. The client’s forward-looking vision extends beyond the current platform. The owner sees potential monetization pathways that include integrating gift card functionality, developing physical memory books, exploring AI-powered message suggestions, and creating integrations with platforms like Cameo and Zola. These possibilities demonstrate the platform’s adaptability and considerable potential for future innovation.
